Heinz is currently working on developing a red ink to be used in ketchup-themed tattoos. Often, red ink is made with harmful ingredients that lead it to being banned or not used and Heinz is determined to offer tattoo lovers a safe alternative. For this project, the brand is working with Electric Ink to develop the ink with non-toxic ingredients, which will be a perfect color match for its iconic tomato product.
Back in 2012, ketchup enthusiast Ed Sheeran got the image of a Heinz Ketchup bottle inked on his right arm. Soon, many more fans of the condiment will be able to get a red tattoo ink to show their love of the brand's ketchup in a similar way.
