Heinz Marz Edition Ketchup is Made with Specialty Tomatoes
Michael Hemsworth — November 9, 2021 — Marketing
The Heinz Marz Edition ketchup has been created in partnership with a team at the Florida Tech Aldrin Space Institute as a specialty condiment that is focused on providing consumers with a new take on the classic tomato-based sauce.
The ketchup is crafted using tomatoes that have been grown in soil conditions that similar to those found on Mars, which could provide a different flavor profile due to the variances that can occur when growing produce in different environments. The tomatoes for the condiment were grown in a specialty 'Redhouse' at the Aldrin Space Institute at the Florida Institute of Technology with artificial LED lighting along with 3,50 kilograms of analog martian regolith.
The Heinz Marz Edition ketchup has been announced, but no information on availability has been released as of yet.
