At the 2016 GoDaddy TechComm Hackathon, developer Jon Roig created a site that makes it possible for people to search for domain names using only emoji codes.
The site itself is called "❤❤❤.ws" and the emojis that make up the domain names are just ordinary pieces of ASCII code—this means that when one types three heart emojis into their web address bar via their phone, the URL will appear like a string of emojis. Otherwise, the website is readable as: "xn—qeiaa.ws"
❤❤❤.ws reveals that emoji domains are 100% compatible with all browsers, Google search results and other GoDaddy services. In addition to this, the site predicts that there will only be more emoji domains to come in the future, as the visual language is universal and mobile-first web usage is skyrocketing.
