On top of making its health beverages available to the public through drink vending machines, Yakult is also sharing the gift of language by teaching common Japanese phrases at the same time.
The interactive vending machine set up in the UK gives people the chance to reward themselves for attempting to speak Japanese with a free bottled drink. To begin, the touchscreen prompts people to film their experience and share it on social media, then gives them the chance to select the phrase they would like to learn—including essentials like "hello" and "good morning."
The engaging drink vending machine is set to travel across the UK over the next few months, making appearances at special events like the Festival of Curiosity.
