The Coca-Cola hydrogen-powered vending machine is slated to be installed by the brand at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan where it will provide patrons with access to a refreshment in a decidedly advanced way.
The drink vending machine was co-developed by Fuji Electric and doesn't require a power outlet to be plugged in thanks to the replaceable hydrogen cartridges inside that provide electricity. The machine features a slightly larger footprint than conventional alternatives, but could help to further maximize product access thanks to its ability to be placed virtually anywhere.
Te Coca-Cola hydrogen-powered vending machine will be installed throughout the Expo with a total of58 units slated to be observed. The units will be paired with a display off to the side that explains the technology behind its functionality.
