The Dreadnought 2050 is a concept warship that is intended to project the pride of the British Royal Navy 25 years from now. Developed by British Ministry of Defence think-tank project Startpoint, this ship is envisioned to be fusion-powered and equipped with lasers and hypersonic missiles. It will also features a high-tech composite hull, and will be equipped with torpedoes that can travel at over 555 km/h.
This warship would be propelled by silent electric water jets powered by a nuclear fusion reactor, enabling it to speed along at 92 km/h and have an unlimited range, whilst remaining silent and discreet.
Innovative thinking and ambitious planning is a necessity of the military industry, and the Dreadnought 2050 stays true to this.
