Nike and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Release New Sneaker Capsule

Nike has partnered with the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital to launch the Doernbecher Freestyle collection, a unique ensemble of sneakers designed by young patients at the hospital. The capsule features new versions of Nike's most iconic silhouettes, including the Nike Blazer Mid, Nike SB Zoom, Nike Force 1, Nikecourt Zoom Vapor Cage 4, Air Jordan 5 Low, Nike Dunk Low, and the Nike Lebron 19.

Each sneaker has been designed by a specific patient at the children's hospital. For example, the new Nike Blazer Mid was designed by Ayman Wamala, who drew inspiration for the shoe from his own alter ego -- a character that is seen printed on the tongue of the shoe. Meanwhile, Maylee Phelps dressed the Zoom Vapor Cage 4 with an array of personal details, including hand-drawn stars and a marbled outsole consisting of her favorite colors.
