Digitally Rendered Crowd Partnerships

Fox Sports Will Broadcast MLB Games with Digital Crowds

Fox Sports recently indicated that it will Broadcast MLB games with digital crowds. The season is scheduled to resume, with a schedule that has been shortened to 60 games. Brad Zager, a VP at Fox Sports, indicated that using a virtual crowd will make the broadcast feel more authentic and organic, which can help to give people an escape.

In order to produce the digital crowds, Fox Sports partnered with SMT and Silver Spoon Animation. Footage of the crowd was released, which depicted fans around the batter's box at Phoenix chase Field. The digitally rendered crowd will make the broadcast more similar to what fans are used to, and it could provide a degree of normalcy.
