Con/struct is the name of this series by Justin Plunkett, an artist, designer and photographer who employs all of his talents to create impressively fantastical structures. Starting from a photograph, Plunkett is able to build on landscapes and create fictional structures that seem like they could happily live there.
Some of the most impressive pieces include amazing, unusual skyscrapers that look far different from the ones we're used to seeing in the sky, as well as churches with more pointed geometric shapes in place of iconography. Instead of being pristine and polished as many architectural renderings are designed to be, many of these imaginative landscapes and towering buildings are rather run-down, weathered and extremely lived-in.
