While many people who embark on Himalayan retreats do so to get away from the fast-paced and constantly connected modern urban lifestyle, there are also those who want to maintain Internet connectivity in order to be able to live in the Himalayas and work and play, which is precisely where the Pankhasari Retreat co-living space comes in.

Designed by world-renowned Italian architecture firm Carlo Ratti Associati as part of a collaboration with fellow Italian architect Michele Bonino, the Pankhasari Retreat is set to be constructed from local materials such as stone, teak and wood and will take advantage of a blend of traditional and modern architectural concepts.

By offering a space in which people can practice co-living in a natural environment while enjoying Internet access, the Pankhasari Retreat will make it possible to bring local and international communities together.
