Vancouver's Cartems Donuterie and Clough Club recently teamed up to launch the Clough Club Pop-Up, which involved donut and cocktail tastings. A ticket to the event hosted at Cartems Donuterie gave guests access to a three-course sweet-and-savory donut-inspired dinner, along with cocktails to match. At the event, diners were treated to dishes made with the same dough that Cartems uses to make its famous donuts.
For the event, guests even had the chance to secure either general admission or a vegan meal ticket.
Across the alcohol industry, a number of brands are experimenting with unique pairings as a way to open the minds of consumers and get them to see just how many ways beer, wine and cocktails can be enjoyed in unexpected ways, with both sweet and savory pairings.
