Manly Paint Colors

CIL Paints Names their Paint Shades After Stereotypically Masculine Items

It had never crossed my mind that men might avoid painting rooms in their home due to the feminine names assigned to paint shades, but the people at CIL Paints have certainly given the issue some thought.

Now, if you purchase a shade from the Canadian company, you will notice a change in the names. For instance, what used to be called 'Fairytale Green' is now 'Mo' Money;' 'Romance' is now 'Bromance,' 'Plum Escape' is now 'Sucker Punch,' and my personal favorite, 'Peacock's Plume' is now called 'Pimpin' the Trans-Am.'

So if you're one of the guys who cringes at the paint color names that sound like they belong on a nail lacquer bottle, the people at CIL Paints feel your pain.
