This Contemporary Bucharest Restaurant Boasts a Garden Wall
Rebecca Byers — March 20, 2015 — Art & Design
This Bucharest restaurant combines a number of textures in this mesmerizing spot located within a 19th century home in the center of the Romanian city. Designed by Lama Arhitectura, SHIFT Restaurant is an ultramodern take on the dining experience partly inspired by the pre-existing indoor garden.
The luxurious space is filled with intricate details that beg for one's attention, like simple Edison bulbs hanging from the ceiling and floating shelves that sit within the garden wall. The angular space does a lot to transform a building with construction limitations based on its historic protection.
The modern Bucharest restaurant is a charismatic dining experience defined by industrial elements like its exposed beam and the warm atmosphere created by the unique lighting fixtures.
