Breakfast Burritos are usually a refashioned Mexican dish filled with eggs, cheese, and sausage or bacon. However, this interesting recipe turns the iconic peanut butter and jelly sandwich into a hybrid breakfast dish.
Peanut butter and jelly burritos are one of the latest recipes to be posted on the Cooking Light food blog. This portable and quick dish utilizes a whole wheat tortilla, unsalted peanut butter, strawberry jam, unsalted rice cake crumbles and a ripe banana. After warming the tortilla on a skillet, and coating one side with peanut butter and jelly, the banana is placed and sprinkled with the rice cake crumbles. By this time the burrito is ready to be rolled and consumed.
Though this dish is unlike most breakfast burritos, it is as equally delicious and will appeal to those with a sweet tooth.
