Engineered Beer Glasses

Cobra's Beer Glass Design Uses Hydrodynamics to Create the Perfect Pour

This beer glass design from Cobra introduces a new way to pour beer that creates the perfect pour with just the right amount of head.

The beer glass design was created wth help from professors at Birmingham University and Imperial College, who were able to offer advice on hydrodynamics and fluid mechanics. The final design of the glass is meant to enhance the smoothness of a pour and at the same time, create a "whirlpool effect" that releases both flavor and aroma.

The new piece of glassware is set to be produced and released this summer, and supported by a campaign that reiterates the Cobra brand beer as 'Impossibly Smooth.' The inventive new drinking glass is being touted as "The biggest innovation in pouring since gravity."
