Riot Games Will Donate Proceeds from Its Games to Ukraine

Riot Games has announced its plans to donate the money earned from its "battle pass" sales to Ukraine. A battle pass is an in-game item that allows users to earn a large number of rewards for a small fee. Riot Games currently sells battle passes in each of its major titles, which are 'League of Legends,' 'Valorant,' 'Teamfight Tactics,' and 'League of Legends: Wild Rift.'

A battle pass costs approximately $10 USD, though it varies per game. On top of this, Riot Games' games have massive player counts in the hundreds of millions. This means the potential for its charity donation is incredibly high. Regardless of the size of this donation, though, Riot Games has also pledged to donate $1 million USD out of its own pocket. These donations will go to charities and non-profit organizations that are supporting humanitarian causes in Ukraine.
