BaskeTREE by Amy Santoferraro, an artist born in born in Akron, Ohio, and based in Manhattan, Kansas, is an art series that revolves around sculptures of trees. Yet these extraordinary trees were once just ordinary baskets used for a number of purposes other than decoration. As Visual News aptly puts it, she "removes the immediate functional connotations from everyday objects and reinvents them as playful landscape compositions."

Comprised of 24 sculptures in total, BaskeTREE by Amy Santoferraro has a childlike essence to them that will surely inspire imaginations and creativity. As colorful as the baskets they are made out of, sculptures bloom upwards in such a way that it symbolizes life even in the most unexpected places. Fascinated by collections, Santoferraro writes, "I love that any silly lil' ole object can become charged with meaning, history, sentiment, and the authority to tell stories."
