The announcement of Amazon Prime Air took place some time ago, but the brand is continuing to forge a new level of expertise in the area of ecommerce delivery with the new Amazon Prime Air Drone that will deliver packages in 30-minutes.
The new Amazon Prime Air Drone is capable of flying at an altitude of 400-feet and traveling at a speed of 55mph at a range of about 15-miles. Once an order is placed, the Amazon Prime Air Drone would go to work delivering the item by flying to the marked drop zone, scanning for the customer-placed marker and dropping the package before returning back to the base.
While Amazon Prime Air promises to revolutionize the way we think about ecommerce, the Amazon Prime Air Drone is still being tinkered with as the FAA continues to fine-tune regulations regarding commercial drones.
