Californian Retail Drone Deliveries

Amazon Air is Now Delivering Orders by Drone in America

Amazon Air rolls out delivery orders via drones in California and Texas, with the goal of getting packages to customers within an hour. The new service dropped a small number of packages in the backyard of customers leading up to Christmas specifically in Lockeford, California, and College Station, Texas.

Currently, those who live in either of these towns are able to sign up and place orders. Amazon will then alert customers when drone delivery is available in their area. Natalie Banke, an Amazon Air spokesperson told KYXL Fox 40 that “Our aim is to safely introduce our drones to the skies. We are starting in these communities and will gradually expand deliveries to more customers over time.”
