AI Co-Innovation Hubs

Novo Nordisk and AWS Has Deployed Its AI Drug Discovery Hub

Novo Nordisk and Amazon Web Services expanded their partnership with a new AI drug discovery hub in London designed to accelerate drug discovery. The initiative will bring AWS engineers, AI specialists and applied scientists together with Novo Nordisk research and development teams, while AWS becomes the company’s preferred cloud provider and strategic AI partner for drug discovery.

Novo Nordisk will use Amazon Bio Discovery and Amazon Bedrock to analyze genomic, imaging and clinical data, identify potential drug targets and help inform clinical trial design. The company will also use Amazon Bedrock AgentCore to deploy AI agents that automate workflows and improve operational efficiency. AWS will additionally support modernization of Novo Nordisk’s broader technology infrastructure.

For researchers, the collaboration creates a more integrated environment for computational and laboratory work. The partnership reflects growing investment in pharma-cloud alliances aimed at accelerating research and improving drug development efficiency.
