Filled with private dance booths and sketchy porn theaters, the adult entertainment photo series shows us the establishments that still make their money from the real thing.

“I’m surprised they still exist. Porn and anonymous hookups are a click away now – anywhere, any time. Most of the locations I go to are completely empty or have only 1 or 2 patrons," says photographer Michael Max McLeod.

Having traveled everywhere from Alabama to Oregon, McLeod has visited 200 pit stops so far for his 'Adult Cinema' series.

"Certain locations might attract black and Latino men and their admirers. Other locations attract prostitutes, straight couples or a lunchtime businessman crowd. Each location has its own unique rituals,” says McLeod about the candid photos.
