Positive Sensual Miami Museums

Snøhetta Designs the Second Museum of Sex in a Warehouse

Architecture firm Snøhetta has renovated a warehouse in Miami to function as the second location of the Museum of Sex. It is defined by its colorful exhibition that is permanently on display, filled with sex-themed arcade games. The new expansion is nestled in the Allapattah neighborhood. Snøhetta is responsible for the exhibition space, lobby, retail store, lobby, and exterior.

Snøhetta interior architecture discipline director Anne-Rachel Schiffmann speaks to Dezeen about the design project, noting "Snøhetta's collaboration with the Museum of Sex is rooted in positivity and joy. As we have pursued creating places that bring people together, our team embraced the levity that characterizes Museum of Sex, working to translate this perspective into a collection of interiors that embrace fun, laughter, and unity."
