Incredibly Bold Design Exhibitions

Capsul and Basic.Space Present the Memphis Miami Exhibition

The Memphis Miami exhibition, presented by Capsule in collaboration with Basic.Space, offers a unique fusion of eye-catching design and contemporary art. Held in the Miami Design District, the show features a partnership between pioneering Italian design group Memphis Milano and Katherine Bernhardt, an American artist known for her dynamic pop-surrealist works.

At the heart of the Memphis Miami exhibition are limited-edition rugs crafted by Bernhardt. The rugs feature playful references to 1980s culture, Italian design, and the Memphis Group’s eclectic style. This allows for the pieces to stand out for their combination of humor, nostalgia, and energy. Alongside these, visitors will encounter signature Memphis pieces, including the Carlton bookshelf and Tahiti lamp.

Memphis Miami's presentation is equally striking, with a bubblegum pink space designed to evoke the iconic Pink House in Miami.
