Apple has announced a suite of new accessibility features set to launch later this year — from Accessibility Nutrition Labels to Live Captions — and these demonstrate the company's continued commitment to inclusivity across its ecosystem.
The Accessibility Nutrition Labels feature on the App Store, for example, will provide transparency about an app’s accessibility features before download. This will help users with disabilities make informed decisions before committing. The introduction of Magnifier for Mac, on the other hand, will allow users with low vision to zoom in on physical text or objects using their Mac’s camera, with support for Continuity Camera and customizable visual adjustments. Braille Access builds on this by transforming Apple devices into braille note-takers that enable users to input text, perform calculations, and open files directly in braille format. Other accessibility-forward features include Live Captions, visionOS, Background Sounds, Personal Voice, Vehicle Motion Cues, Eye Tracking, Head Tracking, and even Brain-Computer Interface support.
