When it comes to marketing, IKEA is always on the forefront of creativity, devising unique ways to capture customer attention, and it will be doing so again with the 2013 IKEA Catalog App. The app builds on IKEA's previous apps, but this one, refreshed by McCann-Erickson, provides customers with an unprecedented interactive experience.
The 2013 IKEA Catalog App uses "visual recognition technology" to allow users to explore the catalog in an immersive and interactive way. You just use your smartphone to scan specific pages within the 2013 catalog to bring forth unique experiences such as videos and photo galleries. Scanning certain products will also let you find out more information about it as well as provide you with design and home inspiration.
As IKEA says on its YouTube channel, "With this year's IKEA Catalog, there are endless possibilities to make your life at home better."
