Commemorating the Life of Ricardo Montalban

 - Jan 15, 2009
Ricardo Montalban has died at the age of 88, leaving behind a body of work that spans several areas of pop culture. One of the iconic lines Admiral James T. Kirk delivered, "Kaaaaahhhhhhnnnnnn!" is known to all, not just Trekkies. Another famous line delivered by Montalban paid off handsomely: Richardo Montalban was a pitchman for the "rich Corinthian leather" that adorned the Chrysler car line.

Ricardo Montalban was born in Mexico and had worked for more than 65 years in L.A. He won an Emmy for his work in ‘How the West Was Won,’ and Montalban also was given the lifetime achievement award from the Screen Actors Guild. Ricardo Montalban also appeared in the hit farce "The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad." He was a star on stage, getting a Tony nomination for best actor in the 1957 musical "Jamaica." He also toured playing Don Juan in "Don Juan In Hell."

To celebrate Ricardo Montalban’s achievements and body of work, here are some ‘Star Trek’-inspired products and fantasy island luxuries.
