Rather than just being introduced as generic devices for health, fitness and overall wellness as they have been in the past, wearable tech is being launched for concert-goers, runners and kids alike. Most notably, McDonald's recently began giving out wearable pedometers as part of its Happy Meal combos for children in order to encourage physical activity among youth.
Wearable technology is now known to come in a range of different forms from clothing pieces to jewelry designs, but two of the most innovative new types of wearables include temporary DuoSkin tattoos and the SmartDiaphragm, which works to detect early births in expectant women.
