From Deadmau5's Nyan Cat Ferrari to bespoke classic cars, these custom cars show off creative ways to make a vehicle completely your own.
While some supercar fans have made functioning luxury car replicas by tinkering with sheet metal and other car parts in the garage, 3D printing is making it a lot easier to to refine how a vehicle will look and run. To get car enthusiasts revved up on a small scale, Porsche created a file for a toy-sized car that can be customized and printed to one's specifications.
Pushing car mechanics and customization further, a group of students from Nanyang Technological University created a 3D-printed car that runs solely on energy collected from the sun. Showing how affordable a bespoke car design can be, China's Sanya Sihai created a 3D-printed car that was assembled for just over $1,700.
