Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and transported to Quebec a short eight months later. Somewhere in that timeline my family made it into Toronto. Forgot how to speak Bengali, went school. Graduated from all schools that I've attended. Had lousy fast-food jobs, even after University. Upgraded to retail-ish job, had a brush with Canadian Border Service in job opportunity market, (maybe I was too fat to chase after sketchy border crossers?) and went back to school to pursue something else. Writing!

What is unique that's not in your bio?
I'll give you five. 1. I had a monster crush on Macho Man Randy Savage when I was six. 2. Had ambitions to be auto mechanic, just like my dad (but I only claimed that so he would like me better than my baby brother). 3. Honor Roll student in elementary and highschool. University grades just went awry. 4. I like to claim that I'm party to an arranged marriage with a doctor back home whenever I play the game two truths and a lie (no one ever thinks its a lie!) 5. If the Olympics ever introduced sleeping as a competition, I would win Gold!
What's your favorite accomplishment?
The most favorite accomplishment to date is losing 50 plus pounds (I've lost count of the exact number that I've lost). And this deserves an honorable mention, getting my BA in Arts and Applied Science. Still thinking about adding other educational certifications to my repertoire (currently pursuing a Grad Certificate in Tech. Writing and perhaps in Creative Writing after wards).
How do you define cool?
Whatever my nieces and nephews are into, it's cool. Whether its clothes, music, TV, yadda yadda, the list goes on. My nephews are always listening to music two months before it hits the radio and gets popular.
What is your secret to uncovering trends?
I choose not to expose that secret (only because I really don't have a secret).
What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?
Writing! I love to write about stuff and attempt to make it interesting--if I can. Oh yah, lunch and coffee with the other hunters. I thinks its awesome we can watch Reality TV during lunch hour (reality TV is my guilty pleasure).
What is your favorite trend?
The trend that I have forever loved and has never went out of style for me is Disney Cartoons. I have loved almost every cartoon that Disney has put out. Atlantis would be the only exception to the cartoon rule. Although I know Mickey is evil, I cannot resist Disney cartoons, especially if there's a princess!
What are your tips for writing a juicy post?
I like to use sarcasm, sometimes if the creative bug bites me, I can make up a word or two that I can only hope catches on.
How do you reset to be creative?
Showering, drinking steamy cups of green tea with a plate of mom's leftovers, and if I have the time, a good nap.
What inspires or excites you?
Nay-sayers. Family. Motivated and ambitious friends.
Predict something awesome for 2020?
Homes looking like the ones in the Shire from Lord of Rings or even Wizard School being an actual reality. Even better, our world looks exactly the way does in Futurama.
