Sangha Bhawan is a Jain community hall located in central Kolkata, India, designed by local studio Spaces and Design. The project was commissioned by the Acharya Mahapragya Mahashraman Education and Research Foundation and serves as a venue for meetings, gatherings, and community activities. The interior is defined by wall panels made from Banarasi brocade, a traditional textile produced in Varanasi using woven silk and metallic threads. These panels are integrated across key surfaces and paired with muted finishes to balance ornament and restraint. Spatial planning prioritizes openness, with clear circulation paths connecting multi-use areas within the hall.
The interior palette includes natural stone, wood elements, and custom-built seating that supports extended use.
