The Repose Sofa by OKHA Adopts an Unusual Shape

To support natural circulation within an unusually proportioned space, South African interior design studio OKHA came up with the design for the Repose sofa. Available through Twentieth gallery, this organically shaped sofa was initially designed for a coastal villa that needed custom furniture to make the most of the space available.

What started as a loose notebook sketch turned into a wooden-framed sculpture with plush foam seating. OKHA creative director Adam Court says, "Aside from its physical, visual features, which I find sensual, feminine, and very human, the sofa is well-conceived in terms of ergonomics and practicality."

Repose is a design that can be found in five different sizes to suit similar spaces with size constraints and it can be paired with matching ottomans, and brass or wood accents.
