Hé! Adds a New Extension to the Kasteel House in Brussels

Belgian architecture firm Hé! adds a new extension highlighted by a timber construction as the Kasteel house, which is named after Kasteelstraat. It is the road that it is located on, just by the quiet residential neighborhood. It is home to a family of four to draw in natural light. Most importantly, it is added to support an old wisteria tree during the refurbishment.

The project architect Hanne Eckelmans speaks more on the design, "The new extension is designed to be as compact as possible while having as much spatial impact as possible on the existing house itself. The extension is in dialogue with the existing house and creates spatial views, connections, light and air in the rooms."
