American design studio Kinneymorrow Architecture completes the Berkshires Farmhouse located in the New Marlborough village. It is designed for a family of four and the farmhouse is defined by its rectangular structure topped with a pitched-roof detail meant to "sit well with the existing utilitarian buildings."
The site overlooks panoramic views of the nature-packed landscape, offering a captivating view as the seasons change. The team explains the design and its layout to Dezeen, stating "The house is split lengthwise, with private spaces – three bedrooms and a den – aligned to the back of the building, facing the forest and eastern morning light. The communal spaces are arrayed in an open plan along the opposite length, looking southwest."
