Desai Chia Architecture Designs the Clinton Corners House

— March 28, 2025 — Art & Design
American design firm Desai Chia Architecture has designed the Clinton Corners House which merges elements of a barn's design with a modern perspective. The home is defined by its charred cedar facade and clean silhouette. The project takes place in Clinton Corners, which is an agrarian community north of the bustling New York City.

The design studio spoke about the project, noting "The owners' goal was to create a fun, flowing atmosphere in which to raise their children, host guests during the holidays, and enjoy a respite from the city." To create the home, the team looked to the area's farm homes. "Designed with its agricultural context in mind, the home borrows from vernacular barn vocabulary, but with a contemporary sensibility."
