Skulls, skeletons and bones are macabre and perfectly spooky for Halloween. They have been a source of inspiration for all manner of art, including bone jewelry and sculptures made from all sorts of materials to form skulls. There are even imagined bones of cartoon characters and fairies.

Skulls and bones have adorned pirate flags in the past. Now they adorn many products like the humble toaster, socks, luggage, skateboards, clothing, and helmets. You can even eat chocolate skulls or sit on skeleton furniture.

But it’s not all fun and games. There are great innovations with exoskeletons which will enable paralyzed people to walk or for adventurous souls to move underwater.
