Probiotic Yogurt Alternatives

Good Plants Offers Low-Calorie, Low-Sugar Nut-Based Yogurt Cups

Good Plants added a few new non-dairy yogurt alternative products to its Light & Fit brand that are rich in probiotics and boast a base of almond milk.

Each 5.3-ounce cup contains just 100 calories and offers indulgent low-sugar flavors like Lemon Meringue, Chocolate Coconut, Strawberry and Vanilla. These yogurt alternatives are set to compete with other almond milk-based options on the market, as they offer 40% fewer calories and 70% less sugar than comparable products on the market.

As Danone Vice President of Yogurt Marketing Prabha Cheemalapati puts it: "We know that many consumers, especially people who are focused on health and wellness, are increasingly looking for plant-based, non-dairy options to integrate into their routines. But there aren’t a lot of yogurt alternatives out there offering fewer calories and less sugar."
