Xbox gamers who also happen to own Windows-powered smartphones are going to love the Xbox Companion app. The Xbox Companion app is an app for Windows phones that lets you control the content of your Xbox from your phone.
The Xbox Companion app lets you find content, learn more about it and control all from your phone. Using the app, you can instantly access the Xbox LIVE marketplace where you can browse movies and games. Should you choose to watch a movie, you can control it using your phone. While pausing and skipping forward in a movie using a phone sounds cool, I am more interested in the possibility of being able to download games and expansions from the XBL marketplace from a distance. That feature hasn’t been revealed yet, nor has a release date for the app been set. Fingers crossed, everyone.
