In an effort to raise awareness for endangered animals, the World Wildlife Fund launched a series of ads featuring massive animals being repaired. The print ads show endangered animals standing in garages while mechanics work on them. Each picture shows a different creature being prodded, examined and repaired like a car would be. Accompanying this striking visual is equally compelling text that states "Extinction can't be fixed."
Ad agency BBDO created the brilliant campaign for WWF. BBDO designed and implemented the ads to solicit donations from the Spanish market. The ads create a sense of urgency by emphasizing how permanent extinction is. By likening animals to cars, the ad agency is making it clear that damages to our environment can't be easily fixed.
