Tumbling Cube Lamps

Ray Power's Wooden Pendant Lamp Design Resembles Falling Dominoes

This wooden pendant lamp was created by designer Ray Power for LZF Lamps, mimicking the shape of a bunch of dominoes tumbling in mid-air. The lamp is made from FSC-certified Polywood, and shaved so thinly that the light is able to come through slightly.

In his design, Power tried to capture the exact feeling of tossing a handful of dominoes in the air and being able to get time to stand still just before they begin to separate and fall in different directions. What's interesting about the design is that is seamlessly turns a series of 2D objects into a solid form that looks 3D as a whole. The domino-inspired lights come in a variety of colors, including a light wooden white, a dark blue and a warm wood.
