In collaboration with the Swedish design trio FRONT, Ballantine's has released 150 limited-edition whiskey serving items that sit precariously atop each other like an acrobatic ensemble working in perfect and harmonic unison.
Inspired by the delicate craftsmanship and the procedural facets of the whiskey making process, the Stockholm-based FRONT trio of Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte von der Lancken and Anna Lindgren came up with the idea to create whiskey serving items based on the concept of "balance." The interactive serving items consist of a copper ice bowl that sits in the median between an angled, square water jug and a specially inscribed Ballantine's whiskey drinking glass with a solid oak coaster nestling at the bottom.
Perched precariously at the very top of the sculpture is a copper spoon, which gives the entire five-piece set a suspended, teetering appearance. Each item of the serving set represents a production process that goes towards making the perfect blend of whiskey.
