Ikea in Roblox’s Welcome to Bloxburg Offers Furniture in a Digital Store

IKEA has launched a limited-time virtual pop-up within the Welcome to Bloxburg game on the Roblox platform, featuring a selection of well-known IKEA products players can unlock and place in their digital homes. The in-game IKEA pop-up is located in the Fancy Furniture Store and offers items including the STOCKHOLM sofa, the ELSYSTEM rug, the BLÅHAJ shark soft toy, and other iconic pieces. From 22 January to 5 February, these products can be unlocked either at the pop-up storefront or from the game’s product library, allowing players to use them in their Bloxburg builds.

The pilot experience is running in Sweden and Australia as a small-scale test of digital engagement and product interaction. Visitors to participating IKEA stores in those countries can also unlock additional in-game items by scanning QR codes hidden around the retail locations. The initiative is part of IKEA’s exploration of how digital environments might extend its product experience into interactive virtual settings.
