Error-Spotting Store Robots

These Walmart Store Robots Spot and Report Out of Stock Items

These Walmart store robots were created to help increase efficiency and cleanliness, as well as to cut down on stocking times for staff members.

Although the Walmart store robots have already been tested in a number of locations in California and Arkansas, the chain plans to launch them in a total of 50 locations by the end of January. The robots work by travelling up and down the aisles of the stores that they're placed in, and then scanning for items that are low on stock. The robots also take note of items that have been misplaced by customers. After spotting these errors, the robots report to nearby staff members, who are then able to take care of any issues.
