Rideshare Vaccination Partnerships

Walgreens and Uber Have Partnered for Easier Appointments

Walgreens and Uber have announced a new partnership that will make it easier for patrons to get a COVID-19 vaccine from a pharmacy location by accessing a ride via the rideshare service. Uber users will now be able to see a vaccine option in the app that will offer them the ability to book an appointment at their choice of Walgreens location. After booking an appointment, users can then set up a pickup time to ensure they have a ride to their appointment.

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi spoke on the new Walgreens and Uber partnership saying, "We’re committed to helping ensure that transportation is not a barrier to getting vaccinated. We know that by making it easier to get to an appointment, more people will get vaccinated. By partnering with Walgreens, our goal is to make getting that shot as easy as booking a ride with Uber.”
