Uber Health, the healthcare division of Uber, is introducing a same-day prescription delivery service to enable health systems and health plans to provide patients with immediate medication access. With Uber Health, healthcare providers can file refills and coordinate prescription delivery with their patients.
Any pharmacy registered with the National Council for Prescription Medicines Program can use the new service powered by the software provider ScriptDrop. Real-time tracking, trip and payment transparency, and access to numerous services are all available to coordinators and administrators in a single interface.
The patient or caretaker is notified through text or phone once the ride or delivery has been requested and confirmed. Real-time tracking of the trip or delivery allows a care coordinator to determine whether more attention or action is required during the drop-off process.
