Casio has announced a new digital initiative under its VIRTUAL G-SHOCK project. Through this venture, the company is introducing branded content on the Roblox platform to engage with a younger, digitally native audience.
As part of the VIRTUAL G-SHOCK project, Casio is launching a collection of 12 avatar watch items that recreate two of its iconic timepiece models — the DW-5600 and GA-2100. Each design is available in six distinct colorways. These virtual wearables come with an interactive utility feature that triggers special effects when used within the brand's dedicated game space. Referred to as the 'Challenge the Skate Obby: G-SHOCK,' this gamified component offers "a unique world where players can immerse themselves in the G-SHOCK worldview by enjoying a skateboarding obstacle race." The experience is based on the Roblox obby game format.
