Pineapple-Finished Whiskeys

Bardstown Victoria Pineapple Barrel Finished Whiskey is Aromatic

The Bardstown Bourbon Victoria Pineapple Barrel Finished Whiskey is the company's first expression within its Finishing Series that sees it pairing its whiskey with fruit for an unexpected new kind of experience. The spirit takes an experimental approach that starts off with bourbon aged for 10 to 11 years and 11-year-old rye that are combined before being finished in rum barrels. The spirit is also paired with oak staves and pineapple to impart further flavor intrigue, and is matured for 27 months to give it a rum-honoring profile.

Master Blender Dan Callaway commented on the Bardstown Bourbon Victoria Pineapple Barrel Finished Whiskey saying, "The goal was never to make whiskey taste like pineapple. The goal was to understand what made these barrels so special in the first place. We followed that trail all the way back to the creation process and found our way to a whiskey with a bold, tropical fruit, surrounded by rye and allspice.”
