As part of the vision for its World Without Waste initiative, Coca-Cola unveiled a smart recycling machine by the name of VenCycling that encourages consumers to participate in making sure empty bottles are properly disposed of.
The VenCycling machine boasts a square red body, AI smart LED lights and "eyes," one of which is used to collect used packaging and another that gives out beverages. When consumers contribute cans or plastic bottles to the machine, they will receive credits via their mobile device in return, which may be redeemed for beverages or products made with recycled plastics.
Ultimately, Coca-Cola aims to collect and recycle the equivalent of 100% of its packaging by 2030 and VenCycling is an innovative solution that encourages consumers to actively participate in this mission—and get rewarded for doing so.
