Vans joins Ralph Steadman on a new collection full of goods -- Vans plans to donate $10,000 of the proceeds to WildAid, an organization that provides support for wildlife in issues surrounding illegal trades. WildAid's CEO Peter Knights states, “We hope these vivid depictions of the world’s most imperiled species can help inspire the change we need to save them."
To follow the environmental inspiration, the pieces in the collaborative project are made from sustainable materials such as organic cotton and packaged in completely recyclable materials as well. The British artist creates trippy images on the silhouettes of the Sk8-Hi, the Style 138, and the Slip-Ons. There are graphics of frogs, orangutans, bluefin tuna, leopards, and more, taken directly from the books, 'Extinct Boids,' 'Critical Critters,' and 'Nextinction.'
