S.R. Studio LA CA x Vans Revive Iconic Shoes with Bold Print Treatment

— August 21, 2025 — Art & Design
The latest collaboration between S.R. Studio LA CA and Vans OTW revisits two timeless silhouettes, Old Skool 36 and Authentic 44, elevated through Sterling Ruby’s signature artistic flair. Each sneaker is covered in vivid yellow with all-over marbled black splatters that evoke paint drips or microscopic patterns. Subtle co-branding appears on the white-on-black laces, adding a refined touch that links the design back to Ruby’s broader creative work. Vibram outsoles enhance durability and grip while maintaining the models’ classic structure.

Central to the collection is the Future Clog, an avant-garde hybrid that contains a streamlined mule nestled inside a bold clog shell. The design honors Dutch clog tradition while projecting a forward-looking aesthetic. The full capsule, including the two reimagined sneakers and the Future Clog, launches August 21. It stands as a compelling example of how collaborations can reinterpret heritage forms into fresh, contemporary expressions of wearable art and design.
