World Class Geological Museums

The UArizona Gem & Mineral Museum is Officially Open to Visitors

The UArizona Gem & Mineral Museum has officially opened, offering visitors a world-class destination to see both minerals and gemstones. Typically, museums of this sort tend to focus on either mineralogy or gemology. The University of Arizona aims to provide a unique experience for visitors to see both, making the museum's exhibit a one-of-a-kind attraction.

The Alfie Norville Gem & Mineral Museum will welcome guests to its new home in the Pima Country Historic Courthouse, a few blocks away from the Tuscon Convention Center. After four years of renovations, the museum marks its grand opening on February 3rd, 2022. More than 2,200 gems and minerals have been curated through donations and loans for the museum's expansive display.
